Having read all three books, I can honestly say that I was changed in so many ways by them. HOUSE OF GOLD absolutely transformed my way of thinking. It's a dramatic story of the actual lives of people who are honest and human with many faults, yet still manage to be examples to us all. Of any book that I can ever remember reading, HOUSE OF GOLD made me see what it means to be Catholic. The book provided me a way to think of my faith as a human endeavor to do the best I can despite adversity. Thanks for the wonderful journey and inspiration, Bud!

God alone helps us plow
HOUSE OF GOLD is the kind of book that you continue to think about and ponder long after the last page. It's making me reconsider all the material things I depend on so much. What an eye-opener to think it could all be taken away in an instant, in a week, a month, and what would we have left? Nothing but the Lord. This is the kind of book I'd read again and again not to to forget it's message!

I read this book years ago, and because of it I decided to go to Christendom for college. Today I requested the other two books for a few dollars from the online bookstore, and I will be reading them during my summer break.

Changed my life.
The novel that changed my life. I read it as an anti-Catholic Assembly of God deacon and started on a year long journey back to th Catholic Church. I've heard from people all over America who love this novel.

This book is GREAT! It's fast paced, fun, packed with lot's of interesting characters, and informative (without you even realizing it). I would make this a MUST read for every couple thinking of marriage.

Inspiring, terrific reading
This is a terrific book. I am happy to have been inspired and have my spirit lifted. The characters are so real! I really needed to read this book. I am sharing it with my son who left the church and I am hoping and praying it will help inspire him to come back to Jesus.

Pierced is God's tool.
I am a 47-yr. old cradle Catholic, mother of sons aged 19 and 22. All 3 of us have read Pierced and are looking forward to reading the other 2 books. We have recommended them to friends, who have done the same. Then we ordered the tapes about Mary and the Consecration to her, and continue to pass them on. During this time, my oldest son received the Sacrament of Penance for the first time in several years, and his fiancee converted to Catholicism. We have to believe it was the prayers of many who sought this from God for them. The joy in our family is overwhelming now.

Pierced by a Sword was an exciting story with characters who seemed to live and breathe. I have ordered additional copies and have lent the dogeared copies to numerous people.
