A must read!
My husband and I both read this book and words cannot express how it deepened our spirituality. I have given several copies to family and friends. We had been "lukewarm" catholics, but this book helped us to change that. We could hardly wait to read the 2 books!

This book's a fun read!
"Pierced" is one of my favorite books of all time! I read it three times (and rarely read a book like that even a second time). It grabs your attention and you can't put it down. Very inspiring and illustrates the best aspects of our Catholic faith. It's good for active Catholics, non-Catholics or anyone, even if not into religion at all.

Inspiring, life changing and action-packed
Pierced by A Sword is peopled with my friends. I have reread the book because I enjoyed visiting with Nathan and Becky and Father so much. My friend Anna and I enjoyed the book and its message so much that we ordered donzens more. We gave them to our children and friends as gifts and I gave out several in my store. Everyone loved them. My son Greg said that if he had read that bookin college he would have kept closer to his faith. It was so moving and so real. I loved the sister from on high and the general whose mom must have prayed diligently for him. This book was a total delight and I look forward to reading it again in a few months. I believe it was inspired.

Great faithfilled "Catholic" Book!
Wonderful read. Brought me closer to Mary and the Rosary, which I pray everyday now. This book opened up my faith more strongly,and now am able to portray my faith experiences with other people. I have passed many books on to friends. All three books are excellent reads. Pierced is my favorite.

Read it, it will change your life forever.
'Pierced' has changed my life, I was a devout Catholic, but at times it felt like I was only going through the motions. That is until I finally found a copy of the book numerous friends were urging me to read, they had already passed along their copies. I began reading it and didn't stop once, except to attend Mass that morning. I stayed up that night until 3am reading, then spent the rest of the night in contemplation. I went to work the next day feeling as if I had just spent a week on vacation, relaxed and full of renewed energy. I ordered several more books that day to pass out, all of my friends have now read the book and we all feel the same, it's AWESOME! Several of the people that I gave the book to aren't Catholic, one was always trying to get me into heated discussions, that one and one other are now joining my parish RCIA program and will join the church next Holy Week.

A must to read.
First of all, I'm not a big reader but I found "Pierced by a Sword" very easy reading, and hard to put back down. It was also very thought provoking. It's books like this that help me to read at all. Thank You for this very good reading.PS I have also read "House of Gold" and found it just as enjoyable.

Nobody can get just one.
I first heard about _Pierced by a Sword_ reading a conversion story by a former Protestant, who wrote that the experience of reading it was an important factor in his conversion. I made a note of the title and author, and began looking for it. I finally ran across it at www.catholity.com, where it was being given away free. You could even download the first 8 chapters, which I did. The book arrived on the day I finished chapter 8. But by chapter 3, I knew I had to find out how this story ended, and would cheerfully pay 3 times the normal price to find out.
What a read! The characters are engaging, the story fascinating. Just when something happens that seems most incredible, you learn that it's happened before.
And now I'm compiling a list of people I'll be buying it for as gifts.
