Chapter 3 of PIERCED BY A SWORD brought me to tears--so did Chapter 6. This is a very powerful book. I read it in two days! The climatic Mass and the Warning are riveting! It has changed my perspective and I have resolved to change my life. I am starting over at page one. I will share it with my protestant friends who are enthralled with the far-inferior LEFT BEHIND series!

What about the children?
PIERCED BY A SWORD has the potential for sequels. Bud MacFarlane, Jr. could continue the stories of the characters' children. I would dearly love to hear how their children are surviving in the all-Catholic environment in which they lived at the end of the book. PIERCED BY A SWORD describes how a group of lapsed Catholics and converts got together and developed their faith and families in the current environment of subtle anti-Catholicism in which we live. Yes, there is a happy ending--hopefully Bud will develop the sequel potential.

The Best book in history!
These were the first words to come out of my mouth after finishing PIERCED BY A SWORD. It changed my life. I am only fifteen, but this book made sense of everything my parents were trying to teach me about my faith. The characters that really made a difference in my life were Joe Jackson and Father Chet Sulliven. I want to be like these men when I grow up because of their chastity and devout faith.
I absolutely loved this book. Bud Macfarlane Jr. did a supurb job.

Conceived without sin is a wonderful novel about people you can truly relate to. I absolutely loved this book, even more than the author's first novel, Pierced by a Sword. I couldn't wait to start the sequel, which is House of Gold.

I have read all three novels and LOVED all of them. As a mom, I can't remember when I last read a book with out pictures! I didn't have the time. I couldn't put these down! I didn't want to put them down. Please, just start one,you'll be hooked right from the start. I can't wait for the next novel!
