This is an excellent book to set the stage for "House of Gold." In and of itself, it's okay, (sorry, Bud), unless you're REALLY into BASKETBALL...which I'm not. BUT!! In order to REALLY APPRECIATE the "House of Gold",
this book is MANDATORY! You really get to know, love,and feel for these real-life characters that most of us can certainly identify with! These characters become your "friends". And when the book is over...you'll miss them.

A far greater LOVE...
Conceived Without Sin is, what I consider the first novel of a two novel set. It sets the groundwork for the next novel, House of Gold. They go hand-in-hand and I loved them both!!! The story line weaves an interesting tale of a number of people's faith journeys and how they affect one another. The character development is great and Bud proves himself to be an advanced writer who gives a powerful message of faith. And as always, the Sacraments of the Catholic faith are highlighted to help the reader commit to the Lord a deeper and more profound love for the Graces He gave us; at least it did with me. I feel that in order to get the greatest impact of the message is to read these books simultaneously as I did. I couldn't stop until both books were completed and I can't wait to read them again!!!

Engaging,powerful real life story
I just finished reading "Concieved Without Sin" and I loved it! By the middle of the book you feel like you know the characters personally. I could not wait to find out where their lives were going to go.
I also found these books helping me in my own faith and relationship with God. I finally took my Scapular off the lampshade and am wearing it now.

Truly a gift of faith!
A friend loaned Conceived Without Sin to me and I read it in about three days this past week-no easy task for a mother of four! It was inspiring and has become an incredible experience of faith for me. The characters were so real to me that I expected one to call me and pray for me.
