Operation True Cross: Complete!
Volume XXVII, Number 12-B

Dear Friends,
I just wanted to let you know that the connection of the fourth and final beam of Operation True Cross was completed shortly before noon this past Saturday.
By the grace of God, everything went smoothly, and I'm no worse for the wear. Over a dozen Cyrenes and Veronicas participated on that glorious day.
After the long drive back home to Ohio, my only goal now is to unpack and sleep—and then sleep some more.
Words cannot convey the depth of my gratitude—to you, to the tens of thousands who sacrificed and participated spiritually, to the brave men who walked with me from sunrise to sunset over the past eight months, and especially to the Mother of God.
That's me and Jason beneath the statue of Father Sorin, founder of the University of Notre Dame—less than a quarter mile before we carried the Relic of the True Cross past the famous Golden Dome to the Lourdes Grotto.
