Saint Maximilian Prayer Medal
Catholic Medals Touched to Relics
After having them blessed by a priest, we sprinkle every medal with Lourdes water before touching them to our founder's rare Relic of the True Cross and his "all-star" line-up of first-class relics (bones) of Saints Jude, Anthony, Benedict, Thérèse, Francis Xavier, and Maximilian Kolbe (beard). We do this completely free-of-charge.
Powerful Tools for MiraclesOur medals have removable prayer cards which include a description of the relics they have been touched to so anyone you give one to will know their priceless spiritual value. Your favorite saints will take care of the rest!
It features an Act of Total Consecration to Immaculate Mary inspired by Saint Maximilian Kolbe, martyr of Auschwitz and modern apostle of the Immaculate Conception.Ahead of His Time and Ours
A Message from Our Founder
Hello, I'm Bud Macfarlane and I started this website way back in 1996. Maybe you've read my bestselling novels or have heard the recordings our benefactors have distributed by the millions over the past three decades. |
I am going to write about things you have likely never heard about Saint Maximilian Kolbe, my "Uncle Max." He is one of my heroes, the man who taught me about total consecration to Mary, and the primary model for this website, which has influenced tens of millions of lives around the world.
Look into his eyes. Can you sense the serenity and peace of a man who gave everything he had to the Mother of God? He is the perfect saint to rely upon to promote a total Act of Consecration to Immaculate Mary, as you will learn.
He is most widely known as the "Martyr of Auschwitz" who sacrificed his life to save a married father.
High-Tech Publishing GeniusHowever, he was also a mass-market publishing genius and a trailblazer of using technology to reach souls. He founded the largest Franciscan friary in the history of the world ("The City of the Immaculata") in a backwater town in the backward country of Poland to promote a worldwide movement, the Militia Immaculata, which he founded in 1917 as a seminarian, to bring Consecration to Mary to every person on the planet.
He and his engineer brother (also a priest) published the largest circulation newspaper in Poland (distributed at a fraction of the cost of secular newspapers). He also traveled to India and Japan to evangelize the saving power of the Catholic Church.
In the early 1920s, in terms of his fully-lived theology of Immaculate Mary in a post-Christian culture about to be overrun by godless totalitarianism, and in terms of using the latest technology to proclaim the Gospel, Kolbe was not just ahead of his time; he remains ahead of our time.
This apostolate, through the sacrificial work of our benefactors, has influenced tens of millions of souls because we strive to achieve what Maximilian Kolbe embodied: total consecration to Mary, embracing poverty, and imitating his prophetic philosophy of evangelization.
What is Total Consecration? If you are new to the idea, "consecration" means setting something aside for a holy purpose. It is a gift of your whole self. Total consecration is placing everything in your life into the care of Mary, as Jesus did when he was conceived in her womb by the Holy Spirit. From the moment of your consecration, you have given her permission to direct even the tiniest detail of your life (while respecting your free will) to work in accord with Jesus' perfect will.
Consecration to Immaculate Mary is not a Catholic "club" with meetings and dues, or, an optional flavor of Christian spirituality. It is a state of being. You are serving Jesus through Mary even as you sleep. And, all this despite your sins and weaknesses.
And it is definitely for everyone. As any Christian who has made the total consecration will attest, your life will change quickly (and that does not mean you will not suffer). You will be guided onto the path Christ has always meant for you. As taught by Kolbe and Saint Louis de Montfort (the other great apostle of Mary), we, her consecrated children will form the heal that will crush the head of satan, as prophecied in Genesis 3:15.
How Much Preparation is Needed?I know that the practice today is to make an extended preparation for total consecration to Immaculate Mary. I am all for this approach and I highly recommend Father Gaitley's excellent book, 33 Days to Morning Glory.
Yet when I consecrated my heart to Mary on December 8th, 1983, I scarcely knew what I was getting into. I loved Our Lady and was open to whatever consecration was and wherever it would take me. I was happy to learn, after the fact when I studied Maximilian's life, that he was not necessarily focused on preparation, but on the act itself. He trusted that the Immaculata would take care of the rest.
Strangers on TrainsMaximilian was known to approach strangers on trains, offer them a Miraculous Medal, and ask them to make the Act of Consecration with minimal preparation. The Act of Consecration on our prayer card itself implicitly explains total consecration, after all. And Maxmilian was correct: Our Lady takes that particular soul under her mantle, as she did in my case.
So this exciting new prayer card and relic medal together comprise a very simple yet supernaturally potent tool for introducing Consecration to Mary to people who might just be interested in the basic approach. I am quite certain Maximilian would approve.
I even suspect these relic prayer medals were his idea.
So use this Relic Prayer Card. I know it works. Consider giving it to strangers, just like Uncle Max would.
The Red Crown and White CrownFew people know the conclusion of the following amazing story about Maximilian. When he was young boy, the Blessed Mother appeared to him and offered him two symbolic crowns: a red crown for martyrdom and a white crown for chastity (priesthood). He chose both and told his mother about the supernatural encounter.
As you may know, Maximilian was starved for days along with other prisoners in Auschwitz before being executed by a carbolic acid injection. He was then cremated in the ovens so there are no bones. Decades earlier a fellow Franciscan who worked as a barber at a friary in Rome, convinced he was in the presence of a saint, saved Kolbe's beard and hair clippings; he even defied a superior's instruction to destroy the clippings. (When the friars at Niepokalanów, "The City of the Immaculata", in Poland discovered all the holy trouble we were up to here in America, they gave me this treasure which is touched to your Maximilian Miraculous Medal.)
Here's the fascinating part. The Nazis kept meticulous records at their concentration camps, and World War II historians were able to trace the incinerator ashes to the precise location where Maximilian's remains were almost certainly buried in the nearby countryside. As is the practice in European countries, local Polish towns had ancient standards (flags). The flag for the town where Maximilian's ashes were buried features only two distinct symbols: red crown and a white crown?
What happened to Saint Maximilian from birth to his glorious death (while respecting his free will), was foreseen by our loving God from all eternity, and by extension, it was part of heaven's plan that you are reading my words at this very moment. It is therefore reasonable for you to anticipate there are people in your life who are destined to receive this special medal as a part of Jesus' divine will through your efforts.
Rely on the Power of JesusThus, if you know a relative or friend who needs guidance, deliverance from demonic influence or obsessive sin, does not know devotion to Mary, or, simply needs to return to the practice of the faith or convert to Catholicism, this special Saint Maximilian Miraculous Medal is one of the most effective gifts you can give them. And here's why:
Imagine what will happen: your relative or friend will pray the Consecration to Mary while holding in his or her hand a tangible object touched to a piece of the Holy Cross upon which Jesus shed his blood—and to a beard hair of Saint Maximilian himself, sprinkled with Lourdes water and also touched to the bones of the other amazing saints listed above!
Rely on Saint Maximilian and Immaculate Mary to take special care of any person who receives this potent spiritual object until his or her last breath on earth.
Through God's grace, I promise you that Our Lady will silently "whisper" perfect truth into the soul of your friend or relative. Trust the Mother of God; Jesus did.
The Solution is God's PowerYou know that no mere piece of metal has any power—Jesus does, because He is the divine Son of God, and the bones of the saints your Miraculous Medal has been touched to are the real physical remains of His special servants.
