Great need for these books!
I've read all three books three times; very educational and enthralling. PLEASE, PLEASE write more books, Bud!! There are plenty of Evangelical Christian books out there, that at times, contradict our faith, and we need books like yours. Thank you!

Book written be a noble man
My American friend Dan Osborn MJ gave me this book in 1996. Since that time I reread it several times. Many episodes and characters touched me. I think it's worth being translated into Russian, although it won't be an easy task. I with to thank the author very much. I think he has a great talent, but I foresee that, unfortunately, not many will be able to understand the noble ideals of the author. The same I can say about "Concieved without Sin". Now I am finishing the "House of Gold". In brief I can say: this is no mere belletristic, it is a philosophy of living in this cold world of ours.

Your books are such a wonderful blessing...
I've been crying my eyes out the past two nights over this book. Not quite finished with it but had to write anyway and tell you how MUCH I appreciate your writing and BEG you to PLEASE WRITE MORE for us poor Catholics... I haven't enjoyed a novel in years like I've enjoyed this one. My son and I lived on Cleveland's west side for six years and it's like making a visit to old friends reading about the people and places (especially good old "St. Philomena's" - our old parish). God blessed us abundantly in Cleveland and you don't know how blessed you are to be there in that city of churches and orthodox Catholics. And what's even better, you have inspired me to continue with my own writing. Thank you so much, and may God and Our Lady continue to bless you and your work.

Breathtaking, heartbreaking, funny, inspiring. Believable.
I started House of Gold yesterday and cannot put it down. I want to tell all my friends about these books. Very plausible characters, extremely believable scenarios. More believable than other apocalyptic fiction. Breathtaking. Heartbreaking. Funny. Inspiring. I can't wait to get back to House of Gold, and savor it. I'm happy I have 2 more waiting for me when I'm done. I'll read these books over and over.

MUST READ BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!
All 3 books were incredible, but I have to say House of Gold was by FAR the best! The characters are so real and amazing. While reading this book I suffered, shared joys, and shared sorrows right along with Ellie, Buzz, the Man, and Mark. This is most definately Bud Macfarlane's best work yet! I simple LOVE this book!!!!!!

These 3 books changed and continue to change me.
I read all 3 books, one after the other. Don't think I got much sleep that week! I nearly cried when I finished the last one. But all that is beside the point. I always considered myself a devout Catholic. But now, looking back months after experiencing these books, I'm a changed person. Each day I feel a more profound devotion to the Holy Trinity and Our Lady. As I work each day either at home schooling or in my home-based ebay business, I find myself constantly in prayer in some form or fashion. And the fruit of the changes in me have begun to change my family as well. These books were a truly incredible blessing!!

The best book ever!
This was by far the best book I have ever read- and I have read a LOT of books! I laughed, I cried, and every other emotion in between! I could identify so well with all of the characters. Thank you, Bud, for an excellent book. When is the movie coming out!?
