Books to help you love Jesus!
I read all three of your books two years ago when I was 14. I just finished re-reading them again and every time I do, it helps me to revive my faith and understand more fully how blessed I actually am. We have been going to daily mass for a few years now, but your books help me to see, rejoice, and accept Jesus every day, instead of just going through the motions. Thank you so much for helping me love my Catholic faith even more!

The mysterious power of CONCEIVED WITHOUT SIN
When I started reading Conceived without Sin, my first impression was that I wouldn't like the book because I didn't like Buzz Woodward. Within a few chapters, I forgot that I didn't like Buzz. I won't say that I liked him - I just got wrapped up in the story. At the end of the novel I was in tears, reading about Buzz's trial on the jetty (I won't reveal the plot), so that I could hardly see the words on the page. When I closed the book, I wondered, 'How did Macfarlane do that? How did he take me from not liking Buzz at all to being so involved in his crisis that I felt he was a friend and I should be praying for him right along with the other characters?' I teach literature at college level. It's my job to analyse texts and tell students how the author creates the effects that he creates. I normally can't read a book without my critical gears spinning all the time, analysing the text. In fact, for several years I've avoided reading fiction simply because it is work - I analyse it, I don't escape into it. Yet this book did two things that I can't figure out. One, it made me care about Buzz Woodward like he was a real person, someone I should pray for. Second, it portrayed Sam Fisk's gradual conversion so subtly - without ever preaching - that it seemed like it could only be the work of God, mysterious, inward, beyond human perception. Someday perhaps I'll go back and read the book with all my critical antennae up and try to analyse how Macfarlane did those things. For now, I'm just kind of in awe.

Life Changing!
What a great bookl! I was completely wrapped up in it and read it in 2 days. Nathan's warning and the parts about contraceptives threw me in gear to go to confession which I hadn't gone to in almost 1 year. The scene when the man went to hell for contraceptive usage prompted me to completely use NFP 100 %. We had been using NFP and sometimes condoms for 11 years and I threw out those condoms and went to confession. Thanks for a great book in our faith!

The Most Amazing Book EVER!
All I can say, is this is THE BEST book I have ever read. As I was reading, and as I am typing now, tears are coming to my eyes. This book was just so REAL for me. It just made SENSE. It answered several questions I had about my faith, and I can honestly say it has changed my life and my thinking. And, the characters were so real. I really truly felt like I knew them all. When I finished reading this book, I wanted to go on to the next one, but I couldn't for awhile, because I didn't want to leave Nathan, Joe, Joanie and the rest of the gang. I felt almost guilty doing so. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful this book is. You just have to read it yourself. I recommended it to all of my friends, and I recommend it to anyone who will read this comment. I tell everyone about it, because it just affected my life and my faith so much. I am only 15 years old, and this book worked wonders for me. I could go on and on, but I don't want to make this too boring. I just cannot stress it enough...READ THIS BOOK! IT IS BRILLIANT!

Read and Believe
This book is a life-changing experience. I gave my copy to my sister, and she is going to pass it along. The story is one that will challenge your beliefs, and send you to the Bible, Mass and Confession with a whole new attitude. My faith is stronger and deeper for having read it. How blessed we are in Our Lady and Our Lord!!

Has changed my life FOREVER!
I just finished Pierced By A Sword; I can tell you that it has changed my life FOREVER! I will never again be able to examine my conscience without recalling the vivid vision in my mind of the Crucified Christ from Nathans Warning! I pray the Holy Spirit also moves you to pick up this book as it did for me.

Wonderful, thought provoking, page turner.
Beautiful, frightening, and powerful. Its a vision of the future, a wake up call at the very least. If you've read any of the Left Behind books, please read this, this is so much better a book. The characters are so real that you will find parts of yourself in the story. I can only say that the Blessed Mother had a part to play in the making of these books. Just the conversation this book has caused between my husband and I is reason to read it.

Life changing experience!!!!!
This book has truly changed my life. Never before would I have picked up a catholic novel because all I ever looked for was straight "how-to" answers. Then one day I walked into a gift store and saw it and picked it up without second thought. Lets just say God meant for me to find it and it has changed my life more than can be explained. I would give this book a 100 stars and recommend it to every single person on this earth.

Turned me around.
I had been led by pastors and friends who did all they could to distance the faith from "The Mary Worship Thing." At the urging of friends, I read Pierced By A Sword. Thank you God. I have re-examined my relationship with Mary. Becuase of this book, I'm returning to the Catholic fundamentals I recieved as a child. I'm praying the rosary. I am returning to the gift of the sacraments. Read it. I was skeptical, but now I was down the wrong path. Devotion to Mary is nothing to be ashamed of. I will no longer alter my faith because of some other faith's misconceptions.

I was in a second hand book store when I spotted this book on the shelve. I beleive that this book was waiting for me. Piereced By A Sword has opened my heart. I have learned so much about my faith. I did not know, what I didn't know. Everyone should read this book! I haven't finished the book and I am already talking about it to anyone who asks.
