The Best Catholic Fiction, Reasonably-Priced!
I read all three books last summer. I was so impressed I could not put them down. They are written in such an easy-to-read style--so descriptive and colorful that you feel you are there. Bud must have come from a deeply religious family as his descriptions are so reminiscent of the way I was raised in the 1950's. Your religion was a part of your life. Faith, home, and school all intertwined. It was a safe and happy time to be alive. I always wondered why more Catholics didn't write fiction with a Catholic slant--Bud MacFarlane has done this with such style and grace. Now I can proudly refer my Christian friends to our Catholic author. God Bless all who helped in providing such good, entertaining and educational reading about our beautiful Catholic religion.

Profoundly moving fiction!
Believable characters bring PIERCED BY A SWORD to life. I laughed and I cried along with the characters. This novel has deeply influenced my spiritual life. Bud MacFarlane has written a gem of a book. I recommend it to any one yearning for hope and inspiration.

The best novel EVER!!!!
This is probably the best book I have ever read in my entire life! Both times I read PIERCED BY A SWORD (when it was first published and when it was revised) I just could not put it down. It's so realistic--all the characters are totally believable. I fell in love with every one of them. I really felt like I was part of the story. I'm going to dig out my copy and read it again!

The Warning is Real!
We were given this book by a pro-life OB-GYN. One visit to the doctor has changed our life. PIERCED BY A SWORD has moved us to help others deal with the evil of contraception. Chapter 13 is as real as it gets. I pictured myself there and could not sleep for two nights

Wow! This book is hard to put down. Once you get to know the characters, you just have to keep reading. I truly enjoyed the depth that went into each character and the plot of the story. This novel
