HOW JESUS WANTS US TO SEE HIM
Allow your eyes to rest on the Divine Mercy image and you will feel its supernatural origin. In February of 1931 Our Lord appeared (as you can see him if you click on the link below) to Saint Faustina in Poland and asked her "to paint an image according to the pattern you see. I desire that this image be venerated throughout the world." He later added, "I promise that the soul who venerates this image will not perish. I also promise victory over enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death." You can take a closer look right now:
Although timeless in appearance, given its literally divine genesis, it is no wonder that this version, painted fewer than three decades ago and given to Pope John Paul II as a gift, has quickly become the most popular modern image of Jesus Christ in the world.
