The CatholiCity Message

Volume XIV, Number 3 – April 30, 2010

Dear CatholiCity Citizen,

With warm encouragement, we issue a simple challenge. Are the words you are about to read true or not? Let us begin...

YOUR PERSONAL STORY AND LOSING FERVOR
You, as an individual soul, have a story that tells how you came to be the practicing, believing, and devoted Catholic you are today. Please, pause to think about your life story now. Were you always devout? Did you convert? Did you, as they say, revert? What happened; what were the details? Did a friend or book or random coincidence open your heart to the one true faith? Do you remember the excitement, whenever it was, that the Holy Spirit enflamed in your heart at that time? Did Our Lady play a role?

Now, ask yourself, have you lost some or a significant portion of your fervor and deep concern for your soul, for the souls of those close to you, and for the souls of strangers? If you have lost some of your religious mojo, do not be afraid to admit this to yourself. It is quite common. Talk to your most trusted friend, priest, or relative about this loss of zeal, which, for most people, is so gradual as not to be noticed except by stepping back and making a frank self-evaluation after several years. Figure out what happened. Most importantly, talk to Jesus about it.

If you need it, knock yourself off your own horse! Trust this: there is no way that your story is over. There are new chapters, containing unforeseen joys, and inevitable sufferings, ahead. Just the fact that you are reading this--wondering, nodding, or deeply concerned--is a sign of good things to come. You can change, again!

"No sacrifice is more acceptable to God than zeal for souls."
Pope Saint Gregory the Great

BULKING DOWN
Tens of thousands of real people are reading this. I suspect there are several thousand of you who have the means, zeal, and creativity required to reach hundreds, if not thousands of souls, this summer by giving away bulk quantities of our life-altering CDs and books to people you have never met at your local parishes, county fairs, and at other events where lots of people show up on a regular basis. If you ask the Holy Spirit if He wants you to do this kind of work, what will His answer be?

For many of you, He will answer YES. In other words, to stick with our theme, are you called by God Himself to play a role in the conversion stories of other souls? If so, take action. Decide. Act. We will help you reach others.

You can get as many Mary Foundation CDs as you want, for a spectacularly ridiculously low bulk donation of only FIFTY CENTS per CD, starting at only 100 CDs per title, with freaky-fast, free shipping (and only $1 each for our life-changing novels). Of course, we lose a lot of money with this kind of insanity, but we have been doing crazy stuff like this for two decades. We dare you to bankrupt us! Here are the links:

PRAYING TOGETHER
Let us pray together, as we enter the month of Mary, putting into our minds the words of Gabriel, all of, tens of thousands, with a special understanding of the word "now." Yes, Our Lady will be praying with all of right now, as we begin:

"Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen."

Until next time, thank you again for being a part of our work. CatholiCity Citizens are the best!

With Saint Joseph,

Your Friends at CatholiCity
