Letter to the Editor
by Father John McCloskey
In response to The Wage's of Celibacy - New York Times (February 26, 2013)
Contrary to Frank Bruni's assertion, celibacy in service to Christ and his church goes back to the beginning of Christianity and not only in the priesthood but also for men and women in religious orders and indeed lay people who are called to serve the church in this way.
The goal is joyful holiness for all Christians, single or married.
